Evening Engagement Session at Fort Ben Harrison
There is nothing better than showing up to an engagement session and immediately realizing that your couple is all in. That was exactly how I felt photographing Cameron and Mollie at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis, Indiana.
From the moment we started, these two were an absolute dream to work with. They came prepared with tons of ideas, trusted my creative vision, and were down for any and all of the prompts I threw their way. As an artisan-style photographer who loves creating images that feel intentional, artful, and full of genuine emotion, I was truly in heaven.
One of my favorite things about photographing engagement sessions is getting to see a couple simply be themselves together. Yes, I will absolutely guide you and give you prompts along the way—but the magic happens in the moments in between. The laughter after a prompt, the quiet glances, the way you naturally lean into one another, and all of those little interactions that make your relationship uniquely yours.
Cameron and Mollie made that part easy.
They were playful, open to trying new things, and brought such a fun energy to the entire session. They also came with their own ideas, which I love. Engagement photos should feel like a collaboration! I always want my couples to feel comfortable sharing inspiration and bringing pieces of their personalities into their session. When you combine that with a willingness to trust the creative process, you get something really special.
Fort Benjamin Harrison was the perfect backdrop for their photos, offering a beautiful mix of natural scenery and timeless spaces. We spent the evening exploring, laughing, and creating images that felt romantic, effortless, and completely them.
